Have your noticed? Almost every GMAT question brings together a number of problems. For instance, a Sentence Correction question on parallel structure could also ask you about idioms and pronoun-noun agreement. A question on subject-verb agreement might also involve a comparison, or problems in the use of correlative conjunctions. Overlaps of this kind also occur in Critical Reasoning - inferences among the options in assumption questions, strengthening answers in weakening questions, and so on. In fact, this is something that occurs throughout the GMAT - because that is how the exam is structured and how you are expected to respond to it!
So why is this important? Because it means that a good GMAT online prep course must involve integrative learning! Forget about books or online courses that have theory in one section and exercises in another, with just an explanation of the main problem in the exercise done. You want to know more than just that bit of information. You need to understand what this problem might look like in another question, and what approaches you could use to solve it there as well. Material that simply treats matters in isolation is doing less than half the job – and this is all that most other GMAT courses do.
The XGMAT online GMAT course treats problems integrally. This is because we know that in your test you will get the same problems in a number of different forms. We also know that questions will appear that can be approached in a number of ways. You need that flexibility on exam-day. Our prep material is designed to prepare you for this. Our online classes put this scenario into effect. The explanations we give you pull in other areas relevant to the question you have just answered. This approach activates your knowledge of those areas, keeps you alert to them even while you are focusing on other matters, and allows you to choose the quickest and most effective solution.
The answers to our GMAT-format questions tell you first the approach and solution to the main problem involved. Then they ask you which of the remaining problems you have noticed. This is because these remaining problems could quite easily become the principal ones in a different exercise.
By studying with the XGMAT online course, you will be working on various and recurrent problems in almost every activity. Your learning processes will be stimulated by an integrative approach to material constructed not on isolated subject-areas but on the characteristics and demands of the GMAT itself.
